Police have found a 67-year-old woman with cognitive issues who went missing Thursday morning and was considered at-risk.

Leona Alvarez was found unharmed in Los Angeles and has been returned to her care facility.

Prior to being found, Alvarez was last seen around 9 a.m. at her living facility in the 200 block of Redondo Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Her destination was unknown, according to police.

According to police, she had walked away from the facility in the past, though it was not clear where she was previously located.
