Police are investigating after the body of a dead man was found at Colorado Lagoon in East Long Beach Tuesday morning.

Officers do not suspect foul play, police said.

It was not immediately clear how the body was found or what condition it was in, but police at the scene said they were called to the area at around 11:30 a.m. after Long Beach Fire Department personnel declared the person dead.

The lagoon, along with the park, remains open as police await the arrival of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, who will be responsible for determining the cause of death.
