A 16-year-old boy with a heart condition who’d been missing from Long Beach since Feb. 5 was found safe on Saturday, Feb. 23, police said.

Authorities provided few details but said Amos Walker Marshall was discovered unharmed in Baltimore, Maryland and reunited with his family.

Feb. 7, 4:21 p.m. | Long Beach police are asking for help finding a 16-year-old boy with a heart condition who was last seen on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Amos Walker Marshall was leaving for school in the 7800 block of Tula Street at about 7 a.m., but never showed up.

Marshall may have traveled to Anaheim to meet a friend who lives in the 100 block of S. Laxore Street and had been trying to sell personal items.

Marshall’s car, a 2013 burgundy four-door Ford Fusion, was located on Wednesday, Feb. 6, in a parking structure at Los Angeles International Airport.

Marshall is black, 5-foot-5, 138 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, police said. He may be wearing a purple St. Anthony collared shirt and khaki pants and has scars from a prior surgery on his chest and back.

Hospitals in the area, as well as law enforcement and public transportation agencies, have been notified.
