Former Long Beach City Councilwoman Rae Gabelich has endorsed Laurie Angel for the Eighth District Long Beach City Council seat, she announced on her Facebook page Thursday.

Gabelich held the Eighth District seat before current Eighth District incumbent Al Austin was voted into office.

“If you haven’t met with Laurie and your absentee ballot is sitting on your dining room table, you might want to visit her website and see if you agree with me,” she said in the statement.

“She is the lady to get the job done for us,” Gabelich said.

Angel, a business manager for Academic Technology at Cal State Long Beach, is running against Councilman Al Austin and Wesley Turnbow.
