12:01pm | The Port of Long Beach is set to host its annual industry forecasting event Wednesday morning at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Long Beach.
The event, entitled “Pulse of the Ports: Peak Season Forecast,” is scheduled to run from 7 to 10 a.m. For those who are not able to attend, the program will be webcast live at PoLB.com/webcasts.
The forecast will feature addresses by a handful of shipping and goods movement industry experts, including Dan Smith of The Tioga Group, Jon Gold of the National Retail Federation, Frank J. Baragona of CMA CGM (America) LLC, Ed DeNike of SSA Containers, Clarence W. Gooden of CSX Corporation and Josh Owen of Ability Tri-Modal, who also chairs the California Trucking Association Intermodal Group.
The hotel is located at 200 S. Pine Ave. Due to preparations for the upcoming Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, access to the Hyatt Regency Hotel might be limited from Shoreline Drive. The port is advising all those who plan to attend to take Ocean Boulevard to access Pine Avenue from the north.
