The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) released multiple images today that document an unknown man robbing a local burger joint with a gun before escaping in his mini-van on July 3 of this year.

In the early evening of that day, the suspect entered Burger 620, located near Anaheim St. and Daisy Avenue, through its back door. Lingering before brandishing his firearm, he forced one employee to the ground while asking another to open the register.

As the suspect began to escape with money, he noticed the employee on the ground attempting to get up and pistol-whipped the employee on the head before once again moving towards the mini-van.

LBPD describes the suspect as a light-skinned black or dark-skinned Hispanic male, aged 30- to 35-years-old. He stands at 5’11 and weights roughly 190lbs, with short and dark hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue button-up shirt with a white badge of sorts on the left chest pocket, dark pants, and sunglasses.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact Long Beach Police Robbery Detective Nancy Mora at 562-570-7464. Anonymous tips may be submitted by calling 800-222-TIPS (8477), texting TIPLA plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or visiting www.lacrimestoppers.org.
