Police pursued a driver in a reportedly stolen vehicle from the Vincent Thomas Bridge to Long Beach where the driver crashed near Ocean Boulevard and Chestnut Avenue, authorities said.

The pursuit began on the bridge at around 10:36 a.m. before the drive crashed near Long Beach City Hall less than 10 minutes later, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

After the crash, the driver got out of the car and led officers on a foot pursuit, although it’s not clear at this time if an arrest has been made as events are still unfolding, police said.
