Forecasters say the Long Beach area is likely to get a small amount of rain today in the late morning and early afternoon.
There was light rain already falling in some areas of the city this morning, but the bulk of it was expected between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a 60% chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
Other coastal areas in Los Angeles and Orange County were also likely to get rain today, but the clouds were expected to give way to clear and sunny skies Tuesday and Wednesday.
Temperatures today were expected to be in the mid 60s to low 70s.
