There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child, and this is definitely the case for Lowell Elementary students. This Saturday, Feb 7 Lowell Elementary’s dads will debut The Pink Panther 2 on opening day at The Art Theater at 4:30 p.m. and all proceeds will go directly to the elementary school.

Fernand Bos, Lowell dad and professional music editor for movies such as The Pink Panther, was able to obtain a copy of the movie and give away prizes from Sony including signed posters and the movie’s soundtrack.

“If all goes as planned and it doesn’t rain we will have a pink carpet rolled out and people in tuxedos to check in the guest, the children will love it, we want it to feel like a real premier,” said Joy Williams, Lowell PTA board member.

Upon entrance, guests will receive raffle tickets which may entitle them to win gifts such as Sony merchandise, an evening at the Art Theater including wine or coffee and a limo ride.

All tickets must be purchased in advance, via this website.

Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will go to the PTA general fund, which will help pay for field trips, library supplies and more.

According to Bret Beck, Art Theater owners Mark and Helen Vidor have kindly donated the theater for the event, so to pay it forward a few dads and students from the school will stay behind to help clean-up the theater.
