10:39am | The holidays are inching closer, and with Santa Claus paying a very special visit to the patients at Miller Children’s Hospital earlier this week, he was going to need help from some very special elves: The Long Beach Fire Department.
Together, Old St. Nick and the boys in uniform brought toys and goodie bags to ecstatic kids in the hospital in their annual holiday visit. Fire Chief Alan Patalano joined about a dozen other firefighters to escort Santa and help him spread cheer through the halls. Together, they visited four different wings of the hospital as the children cheered when Santa came in to ask what they wanted for Christmas.
