12:00pm |  Lynwood Unified School Board Member Jose Luis Solache, Compton Unified School Board Member Skyy Fisher, and Westminster Unified School Board Member Sergio Contreras, announce their endorsement for Ricardo Linarez’s bid for LBUSD Board of Education – District 2
 
Board Member Jose Luis Solache was first elected to the Lynwood Unified School District (LUSD) Board of Education in 2003. Jose became the youngest Latino member to serve on the LUSD. Since then, Jose has also held the positions of the Board’s clerk and vice president.
 
Board Member Skyy Fisher was elected to the Compton Unified School Board of Trustees on November 8, 2011. At the age of 28 years old Skyy became the youngest member ever elected to the CUSD Board of Trustees, Youngest African American Elected Official in Los Angeles County and Southern California. A native of Compton; Skyy was born, reared and educated in public schools.
 
Board Member Sergio Contreras, the current Board President, was elected to the Westminster Unified School Board of Trustee on November 2, 2004 and continues to focus on creating good productive citizens and encouraging lifelong learners. Sergio Contreras was born, raised, and educated in Westminster.
