Second man dies from injuries in Long Beach shooting

A second man has died from his injuries in a Long Beach shooting in February that was being investigated as possibly gang-related, police said Thursday.

Byron Miller, 51, of Buena Park died from his injuries on March 21 following a Central Long Beach shooting on Feb. 22 that also killed Lavelle Brandon, 45, of Long Beach.

Miller, Brandon and a 49-year-old woman were all shot around 10:45 a.m. near the intersection of E. 25th Street and Elm Avenue, police said.
