A man was hospitalized Saturday night after he was shot in the Cambodia Town area.
The shooting was reported about 9:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Gaviota Avenue, according to Long Beach police Lt. Shaleana Benson.
Arriving officers found the man suffering from gunshot wounds, Benson said.
Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs and wounds that were not believed life-threatening, she said.
Two parked cars were also struck by bullets, Benson said.
Gang detectives conducted the crime scene investigation and canvassed the area for surveillance video although a motive was not known and it was not confirmed that the shooting was gang-related, she said.
