Shots were fired in a North Long Beach neighborhood, Saturday evening, but no one was injured and no vehicles or buildings were struck, authorities said.

Police dispatched to the scene at about 6 p.m. discovered evidence of a shooting in the 1800 block of 63rd Street, but they believe it was a possible negligent discharge of a firearm, said Long Beach police spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria.

The incident remains under investigation.
