Authorities are investigating what caused the pilot of a small plane flying to Long Beach Airport from San Diego to make an emergency landing in Seal Beach this morning.
The pilot of a Cessna 400 declared an emergency for unknown reasons, shortly before 9:00AM on Tuesday, December 8, according to FAA spokesman Ian Gregor.
The plane landed in a field on the south side of the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. Neither of the two people on board were injured, officials stated.
“The plane, which was flying from Montgomery Field in San Diego to Long Beach, was not damaged,” Gregor said.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
