Authorities are looking for two suspects involved in a hit-and-run collision who fled on foot after injuring a woman and man in another vehicle in Signal Hill late Sunday morning, Long Beach police said.

Officers had first initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near the area of East Burnett Street and Walnut Avenue at around 11:21 a.m., but the vehicle failed to yield and drove away, police said. The suspect’s vehicle then crashed into a second vehicle near the area of 23rd Street and Orange Avenue, police said.

Two male suspects got out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, according to police.

The Long Beach Fire Department transported the man and woman from the second vehicle to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
