The exact location wasn’t disclosed, but police said it will be in the South Patrol Division, which includes the Downtown, East Village, Alamitos Beach and Cambodia Town areas.
Police said one driver fled the checkpoint, but officers found the vehicle and identified the driver. Police then recovered a handgun and narcotics inside the vehicle.
