Mario Raphael Medrano, now 32, pleaded no contest last week to one felony count each of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug causing injury in connection with the Sept. 29, 2020, crash on Pacific Coast Highway south of Loynes Drive.
