2 arrested after police pursuit ends with crash in stolen vehicle

A high-speed pursuit ended on the Recreation Park Golf Course where a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helicopter landed on the grass to help take two men into custody, live footage of the chase showed.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies pursued a “dangerous suspect” on the 605 Freeway to the Long Beach Towne Center this afternoon.
The chase began around 12:40 a.m. when Seal Beach officers “located a vehicle previously involved in an assault on a peace officer,” the CHP said.
LAPD officers chased two suspects into Long Beach before the pursuit ended with a crash near Locust Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway, police said.

A pursuit Wednesday morning that began in Alamitos Beach and ended in Signal Hill led to the arrest of a 36-year-old Long Beach man who police said stole a vehicle and was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The injured man, who was standing outside his vehicle when the shooting began Monday at South Street and Lime Avenue, was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
Multiple suspects ran into the store where they were apprehended by police.
The driver got out of the SUV in an alley near Eighth Street and Atlantic Avenue and appeared to run through an apartment complex.
