The City of Long Beach sent out the following release to notify citizens of the operations of City services and spaces as well as parking/street sweeping and refuse information for the Thanksgiving holiday.
It should be noted that the entirety of City Hall will be closed on today, November 22 and tomorrow, November 23.
Parks
- El Dorado Regional Park will be open today and tomorrow.
- El Dorado Nature Center will be closed today, but open again tomorrow.
- Park offices, Rancho Los Cerritos, and community park facilities will be closed both today and tomorrow.
- Swimming Pools will be closed today, but open tomorrow.
Libraries
- All libraries will be closed both today and tomorrow.
Animal Care Services
- Animal Care Services and spcaLA will be closed today and tomorrow, and will re-open Saturday, November 24, at 10:00 am. Field services are always available by calling 562-570-PETS.
Refuse collection
- Refuse collection will operate on its normal schedule.
Street sweeping
- There will be no street sweeping or enforcement of street sweeping violations on today, November 22, and tomorrow, November 23.
Parking Meters
- Meters that are labeled as exempt on holidays will not be enforced today.
- Parking enforcement and all infractions, including time zones, will be enforced as usual tomorrow, November 23. Days and hours of enforcement are posted inside the meters.
- Please note: Some meters, including those in Downtown and at beach lots, are enforced 365 days per year.
- Red, white and blue curbs are always enforced, with no exemptions.
