Don’t let East Coasters tell you they’re the only ones who know how to celebrate the holiday season.

This year, in addition to The Queen Mary’s CHILL, Long Beach will be home to a bonafide seasonal ice rink from November 18, 2016 to January 8, 2017 at The Pike Outlets. The rink is one of five hosted in partnership with the Los Angeles Kings across Los Angeles County, according to the announcement.

“We are thrilled to expand our LA Kings Holiday Ice Program into Long Beach,” said Kings President of Business Operations Luc Robitaille in a statement. “We have an enormous legion of Kings fans in this area, and in addition to the beautiful scenery and bustling district at The Pike, this outdoor rink will provide an amazing backdrop for the holiday season.

The rink will be located on the lawn near the looming Ferris Wheel, and will be open daily. Measuring 50 feet by 80 feet, the attraction is just one of many holiday-related events. The full kick-off for a series of festivities will occur at 5:00PM on November 18, with a special grand opening ceremony of the ice rink, tree lighting celebration, and big arrival of Santa Claus. Live entertainment and a concert by a Holiday Rock Band will close the evening around 9:00PM.

Skate rental starts at $13 for children under 6 years old and for military and senior citizens. General admission comes out to $17, with special pricing available for private parties and groups. For full information regarding pricing and hours, click here

“We at The Pike Outlets are excited to welcome our guests to what’s sure to be a memorable family experience of skating, shopping, dining and visiting with Santa Claus,” said Brent Gonzalez, general manager of The Pike Outlets in a statement. “We’re also happy to reveal several new tenants—Sunglass Hut and T-Mobile—that we expect to open before end-of-year.”

As part of the holiday festivities, many retailers and restaurants at The Pike Outlets will be offering special promotions and deals throughout the holiday season, through their Facebook page and e-newsletters.
