The Top 10 Most Popular Stories of 2013

As we say adios to 2013, we’re proud to say that this year was our largest and most successful year as an online newspaper, with hundreds of thousands of shares, likes, tweets and comments across more than 1500 stories.

Not surprisingly, readers were captivated most by stories that reported on the bragging rights that Long Beach now holds in being called one of the 10 best cities to live in if you’re under 35 (with some older readers even joining the cheers by saying they love Long Beach despite their age).

Rounding out the rest of the top ten most-read stories of the year are a variety of subjects; from gender neutral bathrooms to pizza to sexism, this year in news and culture proved to be one of the most fascinating yet.
