From LBPOSTSports.com: If you didn’t get a chance to read the story about the first game between these two teams, click here to see exactly how close a 2-0 game can be.
In that story I wrote:
The pitchers duel between Poly and Wilson was a clash of styles. Bruin starter Linzy Rother showcased her intimidating power, while ‘Rabbit starter Ashley Betance-Kearn kept hitters off balance with her crafty movement.
It will be more of the same today as Rother and Betance-Kearn try to keep their team in second place.
The key for the ‘Rabbits will be patience. If they can make Rother work, and put some runners on base, they could sqeeze out a run or two. But if Rother works as quickly as she did last month, the ‘Rabbits could be in for a long (or should I say short) day.
The key for the Bruins is the top of their lineup and specifically Megan Guzman. In their first meeting, Guzman got on in each of her three at bats. If she gets on base that much again, it will be very hard for the ‘Rabbits to keep her from crossing the plate.
See you in the stands!
