The connecting ramp between the eastbound 91 and northbound 605 freeways was shut down for several hours Friday afternoon after a semi-truck loaded with 79,000 pounds of potatoes overturned.
The driver was not injured in the incident, California Highway Patrol spokesman Marcos Iniguez said. Investigators believe speed was a factor in the incident, he said.
The transition, in Cerritos, is expected to be closed until about 5 p.m. while the company off-loads the potatoes, Iniguez said.
