Two people were displaced following an apartment fire in Long Beach Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) units responded to reports of a fire at an apartment unit on the 2000 block of Chestnut Avenue at 2:46PM, LBFD spokesman Brian Fisk said.

The first unit arrived on scene at 2:50PM and found smoke showing from the second floor of the two-story apartment building.

After an aggressive attack, firefighters were able to put out the fire at 2:57PM, Fisk said.

There were no reported injuries from the incident.
