4:30pm | Claire Atkinson, Communications Manager for the Aquarium of the Pacific, released the following statement regarding the organization’s decision to remove their advertisements from conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s talk show:

“The Aquarium was horrified when we discovered this morning that our ad ran on [The] Rush Limbaugh Show as we do not support or condone his behavior. We immediately called our media buyers and asked to pull our ads. We are an education and conservation institution and wish to focus our efforts in that arena.”

12:23 | At 11:12am this morning, Long Beach’s Aquarium of the Pacific posted the following tweet:

We are working with our media buying company to remove our ads from Limbaugh’s show immediately. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

With this move, the Aquarium joins a growing list of businesses and organizations who have pulled their ads from the “The Rush Limbaugh Show” since the conservative talk show host called a law student a “slut” on the air last week.

More on this as the story develops.
