9:10am | The Long Beach Post is honored to inform our readers that Dr. Grant Uba completed the 50-mile walk this past Friday from San Onofre to Long Beach. Starting at 4:00am, Dr. Uba ended his trek at Gladstone’s at 6:30pm, cheered on by friends and family the entire way.
So far, the Uba family has raised $10,000, all of which has been generously donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Long Beach.
November 23, 1:45pm | The Boys & Girls Club of Long Beach (BGCLB) Board of Directors’ member, Dr. Grant Uba, will show his support in a 50-mile Walk-a-Thon to benefit BGCLB. His hike will start in San Onofre at 4:30am and will end at Gladstone’s at the Pike in Downtown Long Beach at approximately 8:30pm.
“Dr. Uba has been my doctor for 18 years and I have admired him as a professional as well as a man with a big heart who really cares about his patients and his community,” stated Randy Gordon, president and CEO of the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “This walk is a testimony of giving to a worthy cause! I admire him so much!”
