7:55pm | Long Beach Unified School Board member Jon Meyer presented a certificate of appreciation to the PIMCO Foundation, a charitable organization of Pacific Investment Management Company LLC, on Saturday on behalf of Kettering Elementary School as a thank-you to the foundation for its recent donation of $15,000 worth of computers to the Silvera Avenue school.
PIMCO, a global investment solutions provider headquartered in Newport Beach with more than 1,400 employees in 11 countries, recently donated 35 computers to Kettering. The computers will be installed in the campus’ classrooms to aid teachers and students in their educational experience.
The presentation took place Saturday evening at the school’s Family Fiesta, where a PIMCO representative was on hand to accept the certificate on behalf of the company.
