A candlelight vigil will be held this week for the father, mother and young son killed by a suspected DUI driver accused of crashing into the family at Los Cerritos Park on Halloween night.

The vigil will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at Los Cerritos Park, located at 3750 Del Mar Ave.

The victims have been identified as 30-year-old Joseph Awaida, 32-year-old Raihan Dakhil and 3-year-old Omar Awaida.

Authorities believe a 20-year-old motorist was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol when he crashed his SUV into them as they walked on the sidewalk.

A GoFundMe account has been established to help pay for funeral and medical expenses.
