West Long Beach office catches fire Thursday night

Firefighters knocked down a blaze within five minutes of reaching a fire in a commercial office space in West Long Beach, Thursday night.

The fire caused heavy damage to the space near Fashion Avenue and 17th Street and was fully involved when units arrived, Long Beach Fire Department spokesman Brian Fisk said.

There were no injuries and fire investigators are on scene to determine the cause.
