A woman was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of stabbing her boyfriend, police said.

Kristin Gigliotti, a 35-year-old resident of Anaheim, was arrested for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, say police.

At about 3:20 a.m., officers were sent to the 800 block of East Pacific Coast Highway regarding a call about a stabbing, according to police

When officers arrived, they found a 39-year-old man with a stab wound to his upper body. He was transported to a local hospital and was expected to survive, police said. The victim told police he and his girlfriend had been in an argument, which escalated into her stabbing him.

Gigliotti was still on scene when officers arrested her, police said. Police continue to investigate the incident, according to the LBPD.
