A woman collided with a parked car after her vehicle was hit by gunfire in the Freeway Circle neighborhood in North Long Beach, Saturday night, authorities said.

At around 7:35 p.m., officers said they responded at Orcutt Avenue by 68th Street to the woman’s call about shots being fired. The woman said she was driving down the street when she heard the shots and then “exited her vehicle” while it was still in motion, which led to her vehicle colliding with a parked vehicle, according to Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Arantxa Chavarria.

Officers found “strike marks” from the gunfire on the woman’s vehicle, Chavarria said.

Police said they were unable to find anyone injured, a motive for the shooting or any suspected shooters. The investigation remains ongoing.
