Citing a 60% rise in the number of Long Beach residents in need of assistance with food, local non-profit We Love Long Beach is teaming up with Food Finders this holiday season for a food drive aimed to collect perishable items for those in need while simultaneously lending a hand to local businesses. WLLB co-founder Scott Jones indicated today that although Food Finders typically works throughout Los Angeles County and Orange County, all items donated through this drive will stay in Long Beach.
