Jury deadlocks in manslaughter trial of CHP officer who crashed into pedestrian

Man sentenced to 53 years to life for 2016 murder, assault on Terminal Island

A Carson man was sentenced today to 53 years to life in state prison for a murder that was caught on surveillance video on Terminal Island, along with assault for subsequently crashing into a truck containing a Long Beach police detective.
