CIFSS DIVISION 2 SOFTBALL PLAYOFFS, SEMIFINALS
Lakewood vs. Temecula Valley @ Lakewood High, 3:15pm

The Lancers have advanced to the semifinals with wins over Santa Fe, Valley View and Vista Murrieta in dramatic fashion.  Lakewood won the last two games by one run apiece while Temecula Valley has surprised everyone with an improbable run through the Division 2 bracket as the at-leage bid from the Southwestern League.  The Bears (17-12, 7-8) started it with a 7-0 victory over Millikan in the wild card game, and advanced through to the semis with a 2-1 win over Mayfair.

Temecula Valley will send senior pitcher Brooke White (#2) to the circle with her 13 wins and 2.00 ERA. White has racked up 140 innings pitched and 183 strike outs this season.  She dominated the Rams two weeks ago with her powerful outside fastball and has allowed only three earned runs in 28 playoff innings.

At the plate the Bears are led by sophomore Tiffany McIntosh (#20) and junior Chelsea Goodacre (#3). McIntosh leads the team with 25 RBI and six home runs while Goodacre has a team-high 32 hits and 11 doubles in just 19 games started.
