Lakewood scored three early runs and held off Torrence, 8-5, in the Redondo Beach Tournament.  Lancers will play in the championship against La Puente Bishop Amat this Saturday.

JP Crawford sparked the offense going 1-for-3 with an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored.  The shortstop and Tyler Leidholdt drew back-to-back walks in the first inning, and Hunter Jones singled them in.  Jones came around to score to start a huge day at the plate going 2-for-2 with three RBI, a triple and three stolen bases.  

The Tartars came right back and scored three in their half of the first and pulled ahead 4-3 when they added another run in the second. Lakewood tied the game again in the third inning when Jones led off with a walk and then stole second and third.  Anthony Razo hit a sac fly that scored Jones and the Lancers would take the lead for good in the fourth when Tyler Schultz led off with a single and was followed by a Joseph Bernal single. 

The Lancers will play in the Redondo Beach Tournament Championship against La Puente Bishop Amat this Saturday, May 1st, 7PM @ Redondo Union High School.
