Thirty-first ranked UC Davis captured their first conference championship and automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament as the Aggies scored a 303 in the final round to finish with a 900 (+36). Tournament host Cal Poly finished in fourth (948), followed by Cal State Northridge (959), UC Riverside (970) and Cal State Fullerton (995).

Hoey began the final round with a bogey on the par-five first hole, but settled down the rest of the way scoring one birdie and seven pars on the front nine as she made the turn with an even-36. She finished the back at one-over recording one birdie and two bogeys for a 54-hole total of 225 (+9).

Junior Reina Rogers completed the final round with an 82 as she slipped in the standings from second to sixth. Rogers had two bogeys and four double-bogeys for the round to finish with a three-round total of 230 (+14).

Sophomore Noelle Zavaleta was the third player for LBSU to finish in the top 10 as she carded an 81 to tie for ninth. She finished the tournament with a 232 (+16)

Junior Lindsey McAtee recorded her best round of the championship with a 74 as she climbed up the standings from 25th to tie for 15th. McAtee finished with a 237 (+21).

Sophomore Monica Villarreal fell one spot from 22nd to finish in 23rd as she shot an 80 for a total of 240 (+24).

“It was a tough weather day filled with showers, wind and sun,” said 49er Head Coach Joey Cerulle. “We set out some goals and we’re happy with the results. Even though our players would wanted to defend their title from last year, I think they feel pretty good finishing second and beating Irvine two years in a row.”
