Beach Tennis moves closer to the end of the season this weekend, playing Cal State Northridge on the road to close out the Big West schedule before hosting No. 52 Saint Mary’s at the Rhodes Tennis Center at 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 11.
Long Beach State (15-3, 7-0) finishes the regular-season Big West schedule on Saturday when the team travels north to Cal State Northridge to face the Matadors, who currently sit fifth-place in the league with a 3-3 record. The 49ers have already clinched the top spot in the Big West Tournament, however, coming up in the last weekend of April. That match is scheduled to begin at Noon on Saturday, April 10.
Then, the No. 33 49ers will look to shore up their chances at securing an at-large big with a victory over another ranked opponent, hosting No. 52 Saint Mary’s at 11 a.m. on Sunday. That match is the first of two straight matches against ranked West Coast Conference opponents, with the 49ers hitting the road to face Pepperdine in their penultimate regular-season match.
