St. Anthony ace Jeff Curran pitched a complete game against Santa Fe League rival Salesian yesterday and the Saints emerged victorious, 5-3. With the score tied 3-3 in the sixth inning, Nick White doubled off the wall and drove in Greg Ahle and Ricky Ramirez for the eventual winning runs.
The senior Curran struck out 11 on the afternoon in his second complete game as he improves to 4-0 on the season. He has 50 strikeouts in those four appearances and is a huge reason the Saints are a perfect 7-0 right now.
St. Anthony (7-0) will move on in Santa Fe play when they see St. Genevieve at home on Friday afternoon.
