In the third round of the Loara Tournament, the Bruins picked up a win with an impressive 8-1 defeat of Aliso Niguel and will play on Thursday, one win away from advancing to the consolation championship game.
Stefan Milodovich threw 4+ innings of one-run ball to earn his first win of the season, with Riley Parker and Ty Provencher proving more-than-capable relief. Cody Harris, Riley Parker, Solomon Williams, Chris Hubbard all had solo RBIs and Daniel DeWolf contributed a two-RBI single. The only rally Aliso Niguel put together was in the sixth inning, when they loaded the bases with one out. A fly ball to centerfield was caught by Sean Buckle for out number two and he then threw a perfect strike to catcher Blake Cooper, who tagged the sliding runner to end the inning.
