Reports From LBSU
Due to potential weather problems on Saturday, the 49er women’s tennis match with UC Davis has been moved up to 9:30am and the Dirtbag game against Washington has been moved to a start time of Noon. With rains forecasted for the afternoon, the teams all agreed to start in the morning.
The women’s tennis team will play singles before doubles in an attempt to get the match in. The 49ers already were forced to reschedule one Big West contest this season, a Feb. 5 date with Cal State Fullerton. Tennis matches can be called once a match has been decided with four matches won, thus the decision to start with singles play in case of inclement weather.
As for Blair Field, gates will open at 10am. If a game is cancelled before it is considered a complete game (due to rain or other reasons), Long Beach State’s ticket policy is as such: If the game is rescheduled tickets from the cancelled game are to be used for the rescheduled game.
If the game is not rescheduled, ticket holders may redeem their cancelled game ticket for a future game. The original ticket is to be presented at the ticket window at Blair Field on the day of the chosen game and will be exchanged for a new ticket of equal or lesser value. Tickets for other games will not be available for exchange on the day of the cancellation. All ticket exchanges are based on availability.
Exchanged tickets must be issued for the same seating area as the original ticket. There are no upgrades on exchanges. Tick holders are not able to exchange a cancelled game ticket for games against CS Fullerton or UC Irvine, unless the cancellation occurs at one of these games.
