St. Anthony got a monkey off its back with a 52-47 second-round victory over Desert Christian that puts them into the quarterfinals.  “It’s so good to get that monkey off our back,” said coach Chris Morisson.  “Usually St. Anthony is one win and done, so it’s great that we got through.”

Desert Christian did a good job taking away the Saints’ speed by slowing the pace down, and Morisson says his team did a poor job utilizing their height advantage.  The Saints at one point had a 15-point lead, but let Desert Christian back in by fouling too liberally.

By advancing, they’ll host Sierra Canyon in the quarterfinals.
