CABRILLO 2   COMPTON 1

The final regular season game proved costly for the Jaguars as they beat Compton 2-1.  Dynamic freshman Miguel Larios got pulled down from behind and Geo Cazall also getting wiped out, so both will likely miss any playoff game.  Senior Cesar Sanchez got on the board at the 39 minute mark, and a nice finish by junior defender Rigo Luna on a free kick from Geo Cazal in minute 55 wrapped up the Jaguar scoring.  Compton put a scare into Cabrillo in minute 15 when Jorge Paez went top corner only to see Jesus Rodriguez make the first of three outstanding saves in the game.  Rodriguez would make two more saves in midair in the second half, but would finally be beaten by a goal in minute 70.  Cabrillo outshot Compton 17-to-6, so again as they continue into the playoffs they will need to do a better job converting on their opportunities.  The Jaguars will enter the bracket was the Moore League #3 seed after losing the coin flip with Wilson after their loss to Millikan.
