It was a tough day for the Moore League in the Ocean View Tournament of Champions. Poly was able to hold off Leuzinger but Lakewood, Compton and Jordan all fell on the last day of pool play.
In the first game of the day, Lakewood couldn’t close it out against Huntington Beach and lost, 56-53. Compton played St. Mary’s next and worked hard defensively for a 27-22 halftime lead. But the Knights came back in the second half and won, 65-50. Jordan took on undefeated host Ocean View and played from behind from the opening jump. The Seahawks out ran the Panthers and head to the championship game with 73-44 victory.
Poly played in the night cap and held off a late Leuzinger run, and a shot at the buzzer, for the 56-54 win.

Lakewood vs. St. Mary’s, 12:30pm
Poly vs. Rancho Verde, 3:30pm, 5th place game
Jordan vs. Centennial, 5pm, 3rd place game
