With nothing but pride on the line, Jordan and Cabrillo did not mail it in as the Panthers emerged victorious, 34-26.
Just how crazy was one? How about we go in order…
Jordan scored on the opening drive, only to have Cabrillo come right back down the field to make it 7-6. The Panthers scored again in the second quarter, but again the Jags answered to make it 13-12 Jordan. The Jags scored once more and added the two-point conversion to make it 20-13 at halftime.
The second half started with back-to-back kickoff returns for touchdowns, running the score to 26-20 Cabrillo. Less than two minutes later there was a huge brawl on the field and three players were ejected. Four plays later, Jordan scored to take the lead, 27-26.
The Panthers would score twice more in the fourth quarter to grab their second league win while the Jags finish winless in the Moore League.
That’s what we call a “Pride Bowl!”
