We told you yesterday the Rams had a tall task in front of them in the first round of the CIF Playoffs. We weren’t wrong. The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks proved why they are ranked 12th in the section, 16th in the state and 45th in the nation on MaxPreps as they had little trouble with Millikan and swept in three, 25-14, 25-10, 25-20.
Sometimes we hate it when we’re right, and we were dead on saying that the key would be Murrieta Valley’s outside hitters Emily Cook and Natalie Allen. They racked up 14 and 9 kills apiece, and Cook did that on 17 swings.
If the Lancers can keep the momentum from the first round, they could see this Nighthawks team in the semis.
