One of the most unique events in the city each year is taking place this weekend down at Marine Stadium, as the Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival gets under way.  One of the largest dragon boat races (it’s exactly what it sounds like) on the west coast, the weekend will also feature Chinese art demonstrations, Chinese acrobats, hip-hop, music, and martial arts performances. 

The races take place from 9am till 5:30pm on Saturday, and from 9am till 3pm on Sunday, with the two championship races at 2:55pm and 3:05pm.  If you’ve never been to the LB Dragon Boat Festival, you don’t want to miss it!
