The 49ers ended their home season with a 5-2 loss to the San Diego State Aztecs on Saturday night. Jason Elliott’s slapshot put the Beach up 1-0 halfway through the first, but San Diego tied it with three minutes left in the first frame then tallied three unanswered scores in the second period. Matt Kresky brought the 49ers within two goals with his third period power play goal. However the 49ers could not stay out of the penalty box or convert on their own power play chances through the rest of the period.
