We’re remiss in not releasing this until now, but last week the Long Beach State Crew squad announced their Spring 2009 racing schedule.  They scrimmage with Irvine in Marine Stadium on the 22^nd of February before opening their official schedule in Newport against UCI and UCSD on March 7^th.  Then they host the Long Beach Spring Regatta at 7am on Sunday, March 15^th at Marine Stadium, their final home racing event of the season.  Once we get there we’ll update you on the rest of their events, or you can see the full schedule now by clicking right here on this link.

The team has also announced that for the first time in recent memory, they’ll host an alumni event at the enormous San Diego Crew Classic, on April 4^th and 5^th, which the team will be competing in.  ESPN U will show highlights from the event on April 20^th—more details from the team on reduced hotel rates for alumni, etc., are forthcoming.  Stay tuned for more Crew news!
