In less than stellar conditions, the Wilson Bruins overcame a one-goal deficit at home and took over in the second half on their way to a 2-1 win over the visiting Lakewood Lancers.

The Lancers had the wind at their back in the first half, and capitalized on a free header in the box.  Lakewood keeper Evan McCarty played well and they took that lead into the half, but when the sides turned, so did the tables.  The Lancers didn’t get a single shot on goal in the second half as the Bruins got goals from Ricardo Alvarado and Alexis Marin to take the points in the 2-1 decision.

The win sets up the match we have all been waiting for, Millikan @ Wilson next Wednesday, the winner gaining the inside track for the Moore League title.
